Igare Fellowship Church
Igare, Nyanza, Kisii, Kenya
I am Samuel Moeti, pastor of the Igare Fellowship Church in the village of Igare, from the Nyanza Country of Kisii, Kenya. My wife, Rose Moraa Moeti, and I work with our congregation to teach the spiritual lessons we get from this website. We are called to peon our arms to the world and bring the un-churched people to Christ. God is also calling us to grow in faith and grow in numbers as we serve all of God's people in Jesus name.
I was born to preach the gospel. I have seen myself in dreams and visions preaching and laying hands on the sick. I did not have a mentor to guide me because I could not admire the kind of lives pastors in my village and the surrounding areas were showing in their lives.
For the last three years our congregation has met under the shade trees of the land we gather on. We are an independent church that has limited our ability to have good fellowship with other Christians or have any connections to help us develop. Because we are so still a small church there is very little donations that come in.
We do care for twenty-six orphans that depend upon us for their clothing, housing, and basic needs of food and water. We have been working together growing food through some small scale farming which we use to help feed everyone and raise money for the orphans. Everyone that works with the farming has agreed to uses some of the money from the sales of the vegetables to donate toward the ministry work.
The Corona virus hurt our church and the farming business because we were not allowed to work or have church for many months. Today we struggle trying to find any way we can to care for the orphans while we work to rebuild what we lost.
When I was young I wanted to become a doctor, but my dream was shattered when I failed to make the required grades necessary in high school. I gave up my clinical medicine courses and found myself in enrolled in accounting classes. While I served as a C.U. Chairman for primary school, high school, and on through college the call to preach never went away. This madness continued until I found myself serving as youth elder at the age of 14. Since then I was married and have served in various positions in different ministries.
Now my wife and I work continuously to ensure the people of Igare and the surrounding areas have a good place to worship and minister the gospel. We have started building our first building. We are presently working on a new fundraising project that can help us complete the development of our new building. We need a temple we can worship in and show people that the Lord is true to His promises.
All of our church member’s salute you in Jesus name. All children and my wife also send their love through greetings to you and the church there. Please pray for what the Lord world have you do to assist us. When you make a donation, please put "Moeti" in the notes portion of the donation form.
Thank you for reading through our webpage.
God bless You.
