Good Samaritan Gospel Ministry
Chinnapuram, India
I am Perika Manohar. My wife and I have been ministering the gospel to the people of India for over ten years in the remote areas of the Kenakanamitla and Machilipatnam Mandals. Many of the people are idol worshippers, as so many in India are. My family and I walk from village to village teaching the Word of God so the people can learn about the only true and living God. Many have been saved and baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and we are discipling them through the two churches we have established.
Manohar Family
The remote areas have limited conditions leaving us using kerosene lamps in order to hold services at night. These conditions have not prohibited us from reaching the people and they are responding to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We stand on the words of the Apostle Paul who said, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (1Corinthians 15:58).
My father is a gospel preacher, who established a congregation when I was in the 7th grade of my schooling. I went with my father in his work as he was conducting a three day time of prayer and fasting with Sunday School students. At midnight on the third day God called me to His service. After completing my 10th grade in school I enrolled in the Bible College at Kakinada, where I studied for three years.
Once I had graduated Bible College I chose to do my gospel service in the village of Ummadi Yelesandla in the Prakasham District of the Andhra Pradesh. I wanted to minister to the Hindu and abnormal people in the region because they had no hope of learning about Jesus. With the inspiration of the preached word and teachings about the only true God, many ungodly people are coming and listening to the Word of God.
My wife Mariyamma, is working with me, helping the women to understand the good things about being a Christian. We work together maintaining a children's home that cares for the many ophaned children that have nothing outside of what we can provide them.
We also work to feed the hungry, care for the widows, and elderly in our communities.
In October 2020 my family and I began the move to Chinnapuram, Machilipatnam Mandal, in the Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. We have successfully move and established a new church.
We left the church in Ummadi Veligandla in good hands with another pastor and we are passionately moving forward with our new church in Chinnapuram.
