On January 8, 2017 Wade Ivey, the pastor of Inspire Church of Hurley, Mississippi, died at the age of 62. The Youth Pastor of Life Church of Mobile, Steven Sadler, out of his passion for the people and ministry of Pastor Ivey, offered his assistance to the church during their time of loss. Steven found Christ as a child at a revival service that Pastor Wade Ivey was leading and later answered the call to ministry through the ministry of Pastor Ivey.
The leadership of Pastor Steven and his wife Kaylee inspired Life Church of Mobile to help in the recovery process of Inspire Church which resulted in Steven and Kaylee Sadler becoming the new pastor family for the church. Life Church of Mobile under the leadership of Senior Pastor Scott Howard agreed to let Inspire Church change their name to Life Church of Hurley. The announcement was made at both the Mobile and Hurley campuses on July 2, 2017, introducing the direction and new partnership of Life Church, Hurley, Mississippi.
Steven and Kaylee Sadler were involved in youth ministry for over 10 years and are now Campus Pastors at our First Church Campus in Hurley Mississippi. They desire that everyone come to know Christ as their Savior and to do the work of an evangelist in their schools, home, and abroad. (2 Timothy 4:5) Kaylee also has a passion for young women to live a life of purity and to walk in God's calling. Together they believe that meeting teens where they are in life and encouraging them in their walk with the Lord is key to building lasting relationships. It is important to them that everyone, "Love God and love people, so that people will love God." Steven and Kaylee have 2 beautiful children, Weston and Aniston.
After months of remodeling the new campus is exciting with the possibilities for the future.
