I am Eric Migiro, the pastor of the Gaurdian Fellowship Center of Ogembo, Kenya. In 2015 I was an inspector for the local police, where I witnessed many of my colleagues being killed due to war. I saw the worst human behavior during this time as people committed grievous inhumane acts toward others. Because of my exposure, I decided to give my life to Jesus Christ and joined a local church. In time, I enrolled in Kyambogo University in Uganda and studied theology. After graduating in 2018, I founded the Guardian Community Fellowship and school in Ogembo.
The Guardian Fellowship Community Center has a vision to reach the people of our region with the gospel as we care for the many children that have been orphaned because of the war and being abandoned by their families. The police trained me to teach in the Utawala schools to mentor adolescents with no direction or purpose. To better influence the lives of poor and orphaned children, our church and community center opened a school for training the children. It has been daunting, but we continue building with excellence as we research and prepare better ways to grow resources. We engage in farming activities to generate personal income and more resources for the ministry.
In our search for resources and mentors who can guide us with experience, I came across Bless Ministries of Mobile, Alabama, in the United States. I had been using their resources and study materials for some time before I reached out to contact them. In April this year (2023), we were accepted as partners in ministry, which is helping us to advance further than we were able to realize.
We are properly managed using spiritual leaders who take their roles seriously to build a ministry that will rescue the girls and boys who face abuse and neglect from their relatives. Meet some of our staff who have received sponsorship documents from Bless Ministries of Mobile USA.

Please pray for us. We have much more to do and continue to have needs beyond our local ability. We greatly need better housing for the children, and our church needs some serious upgrades. Pray for us to have a way to get a public address system for our church and to use it in the community while we speak in public gatherings.
